Did you know that learning to read is a challenge for almost 40 percent of kids? Children come to our classrooms with so many different reading ability levels. As a teacher, it is important to recognize what our students know and what they need to learn. In this session, you will learn how to pinpoint what your students reading gaps are and how to proceed. This session will focus on basic reading strategies in Phonemic Awareness, Phonics, Decodable Stories, and the 6 Syllable Types.
